Training Transfer

Only 10-15% of training skills are successfully transferred to the job which means that we run our training factories at an 85-90% defect rate. Companies would go out of business if their products had such a defect rate. The good news is that this can be corrected so that organizations increase their transfer rate to 70% or more. In this session, Dave Basarab talks about how Predictive Evaluation works and how it will greatly enhance the acceptance of training as a business function - one where projections are made, progress is measured, and effectiveness is determined. Rather than being regarded as an expense and an act of faith, training is seen as an investment with a concrete payoff. Predictive Evaluation enables you to effectively and accurately forecast training’s value to your company, measure against these predictions, establish indicators to track your progress (and make mid-course corrections if needed) and report the results in a language that business executives respond to and understand.
